Pregnancy Reflexology

At The Reflexology Room, I offer gentle and nurturing pregnancy reflexology a natural, non-invasive therapy that promotes deep relaxation, balance, and a greater sense of well-being throughout all stages of pregnancy.

Pregnancy is a time of immense physical, emotional, and hormonal change. While it can be an incredibly special experience, it can also bring a range of discomforts and challenges. Reflexology provides a supportive space for you to relax, reconnect with your body, and take time for yourself during this important journey. Each session is carefully tailored to meet your individual needs.

As your pregnancy progresses, reflexology can help support your body’s changing needs, support with common discomforts, and help you feel more balanced and calmer. Closer to your due date, treatments can focus on encouraging optimal readiness for labour.

Many women also return for postnatal reflexology, finding it to be a valuable source of support during the early weeks and months of motherhood helping to restore energy, support recovery, and create space for emotional and physical rest.

Pregnancy reflexology  5 benefits

Relief from discomfort
Pregnancy often comes with physical symptoms and general fatigue. Reflexology offers gentle support by stimulating reflex points linked to areas of tension.

 Stress reduction
The calming effects of reflexology help reduce stress and anxiety and promotes a sense of emotional ease. Many women find that regular treatments help them feel more centred and in control as they navigate the ups and downs of pregnancy.

 Improved sleep
Disrupted sleep is common during pregnancy, especially in later stages. Reflexology can support better rest by calming the nervous system and relaxing the body helping you to unwind more easily and sleep more soundly.

 Preparation for labour
As your due date approaches, reflexology helps support the body’s natural readiness for birth by gently promoting a deep sense of relaxation.

 Support during labour
Reflexology may help stimulate the release of endorphins the body’s feel good hormones which can be beneficial .

Reflexology can be used safely throughout pregnancy, though I generally work from week 13 onwards. In some instances, such as high risk pregnancies or specific medical conditions it may be advisable to consult your midwife or GP first. If you’re uncertain, I’m happy to talk things through with you and help you decide what feels right for you.
